Physical capacity test
Maximal oxygen uptake test (VO2 max.), heart rate zones and electrocardiogram (ECG)
Cardiorespiratory fitness is essential for sports performance and one of the key metrics for measuring it is maximal oxygen uptake, known as VO2 max.
Direct assessment through respiratory gas analysis during exercise is the most accurate way to determine it, and for this purpose, we use the VO2 Master device, a state-of-the-art portable device designed specifically for this purpose.
Key service features:
- Flexibility of sports disciplines: our test can be performed by running, cycling or other sports, ensuring an accurate assessment tailored to your discipline.
- Comprehensive Evaluation: this test evaluates physiological responses, including cardiovascular, pulmonary and metabolic aspects, during incremental exertion up to a maximum. The objective is to determine your optimal and maximal capacities. It includes the measurement of VO2 max, respiratory thresholds, the heart's response to exercise and the definition of power zones, among other valuable data that will help you plan a safe and effective training.
- Relevance for athletes: this test is essential for athletes who want to know their physical capacity, their heart rate zones for training, have defined sporting objectives and/or want greater control in their training.
The test is suitable for healthy people without cardiorespiratory symptoms or diseases. It includes the performance of an electrocardiogram (ECG) for the sport prior to the test to ensure the safety of the athlete. In addition, some prerequisites are required to obtain the best possible results.
